The four presets and where to use them

Tip: If you're repurposing one video for several platforms, build it at Vertical (9:16) first for TikTok, Shorts, and Reels, since that's the hardest ratio to convert into afterwards. Then duplicate the project and change the resolution for landscape or square versions.
Setting the resolution of a new project
On the app's homepage, click New Project.
Go to Settings > Resolution.
Choose a preset (Standard, Vertical, Square, or Portrait), or type in a custom size.
Changing the resolution of an existing project
On the app homepage, click instead the Open Project option.
Locate and open a previously saved project.
Go to Settings > Resolution.
Choose a preset, or type in a custom size.
Note: Changing the resolution after you've already added elements can shift or crop your layout, since the canvas shape changes. It's best to set the resolution before you start building a scene. If you do need to switch partway through, check each scene afterward and reposition anything that landed outside the new canvas.
