Making files available offline

DROPBOX

  1. Open Dropbox Desktop App

  2. Make sure you’re signed in

  3. Open your Dropbox folder on your computer

  4. Right-click the file or folder

  5. Click Make available offline

  6. Wait for the green checkmark βœ”οΈ (file is now stored locally)

πŸ“Œ Tip:

  • Green check = offline

  • Cloud icon = online-only

GOOGLE DRIVE

  1. Open Google Drive for Desktop

  2. Sign in to your Google account

  3. Open your Google Drive folder

  4. Right-click a file or folder

  5. Click Available offline

  6. Wait for sync to finish

  • Checkmark = offline

  • Cloud = online-only

MICROSOFT ONEDRIVE

  1. Open OneDrive

  2. Sign in

  3. Open your OneDrive folder

  4. Right-click a file or folder

  5. Select Always keep on this device

  6. Wait for the solid green circle βœ”οΈ

πŸ“Œ Tip:

  • Solid green = offline

  • Cloud = online-only

iCLOUD

MacOS

  1. Open Finder

  2. Go to iCloud Drive

  3. Right-click the file or folder

  4. Click Download Now

  5. Wait until cloud icon disappears

πŸ“Œ Tip:
Downloaded files stay available offline unless optimized storage removes them.
