CreateStudio Pro now lets you take a snapshot of a video and use it to add a freeze-frame effect.
There are different ways of adding a freeze-frame effect to your project.
Inserting a snapshot of a frame in a video
1. Place the time indicator on the frame you want to export.
2. Right-click on the canvas > select Take Snapshot
3. The snapshot should appear in the Project Media Folder.
4. Select the video track in the timeline and CUT it in the exact spot where the snapshot was taken.
5. Drag the snapshot from the media folder to the canvas.
Click on the expand button to fill the frame.
6. On the timeline, drag the second half of the video clip to the right and insert the snapshot.

Using a snapshot of an individual element
This works best for individual elements with transparency.
1. Place the time indicator on the frame you want to freeze
Select the element > right-click > Take Snapshot
2. The snapshot would appear in the Project Media folder
3. Drag the snapshot to the canvas, place it on top of the original element and resize it so that they are of the same size.
Here's how it should look:
4. You can take different snapshots of the element at different points in the timeline and repeat steps 1-3 to have multiple "clones"
5. You can also apply a "reverse freeze" effect by animating the original element to roll back to its initial position and setting the duration of the snapshots to be just until the original element passes over them.
