How to Export a Frame From a Video

CreateStudio lets you capture frames from your project and save them as an image in PNG or JPEG format.

A. Export and Save to an external location

This is especially useful in making thumbnails for your videos.

1. Place the time indicator on the frame you want to export

2. Click on Publish and select Images

3. Click on Select to choose where to save the file

4. Enter a file name, and hit Save.

B. Export and Save to Project Media Folder

This is very useful if you are adding a freeze-frame effect to your video.

1. Place the time indicator on the frame you want to export.

2. Right-click on the canvas > select Take Snapshot

The snapshot should appear in the Project Media Folder

You can then drag it to the canvas and use it to add a freeze-frame effect.

OR if you are using an element with transparency (e.g. 2D or 3D characters) and you want to capture it as an image, right-click on it  > select Take Snapshot
